The Crying Potato

Alex had to make a Spanish Tortilla (or Tortilla de Espana) for Spanish class. The object was to get the pronunciation and commands 100% correct. They did not grade him on taste (he didn't take it to school) or quality of the video, or acting ability. Let's just say that the Food Network probably won't be beating down my front door anytime soon.

The kid actually had his sister do all of the work, while he filmed it and read from the script. She fell for it. But again, the point was for him to speak Spanish, not to cook.  Alex said that when he presented the video to his class, they thought the potato was crying during the part where it was being cut, when in fact, it was Isa laughing. Again, we are dealing with amateurs. Although, I am quite impressed with Alex's video making skills. I don't even know how to make a video. Yet!

In the end, Alex actually received an A+ on it. Very proud of him! =)

I will be even more proud when he finally cleans my stove top. That flip was M.E.S.S.Y!
